Zuga Medical, Inc. designs, manufactures, and markets dental implant products. Zuga offers their products in a complete, pre-programmed kit that includes a drill unit, the Biothread Implant and Dentim Restoration System. Zuga's dental implants consist of a titanium threaded rod that is inserted in the jaw at the location of the missing tooth. A specialized abutment is added to the rod after installation and a standard crown is attached. The threaded rod is treated to encourage bone growth into titanium, allowing the rod to provide a highly secure base, reducing the potential for bone deterioration that can occur with partials or bridges.
