SPR Therapeutics, LLC (Stimulation for Pain Relief) is developing a platform technology which utilizes peripheral nerve stimulation methods to treat a variety of different pain disorders. The first application of the technology is for improved treatment of post-stroke shoulder pain, a disorder that affects a large number of post-stroke survivors. The product consists of two components: an externally-worn NeuroPill device for the acute phase and an implantable programmable generator with leads for chronic use when appropriate following the acute phase. SPR Therapeutics was spun out from NDI Medical, LLC.
