Ohio Life Sciences (OLS) and American Nitrile launch a new collaboration that endorses American Nitrile as the preferred research glove for Ohio Life Sciences member organizations.
“We are excited about this collaboration because we need more Ohio-based companies doing business with one another,” said Eddie Pauline, President & CEO of Ohio Life Sciences. “Research and development in the life sciences is serious and sophisticated work. It requires the best tools and products, and as the industry trade association, we feel obligated to promote the use of those products-especially ones made in Ohio. American Nitrile research gloves have received tremendous reviews from our member organizations and are on the cutting edge of new glove technology.”

The life sciences industry in Ohio includes biotech, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, labs, digital health, gene and cell therapy, agricultural biotechnology, and research and academic institutions.
The OLS and American Nitrile collaboration provides competitive pricing for members who need gloves. OLS members can purchase the gloves through the new OLS partnership with Fisher Scientific. Fisher Scientific has the most comprehensive product and service portfolio in the industry, featuring over two million items, including Life Technologies (Applied Biosystems, Invitrogen) and access to Encompass Procurement Services with access to more than 900,000 additional products.
“It’s an honor to be recognized as the preferred research glove for OLS, and its more than 4,200 organizations statewide,” said American Nitrile Founder and CEO Jacob Block. “Ohio is a hub for healthcare research, innovation, and technology with ever-expanding bioscience and life sciences industries. We can’t allow supply chain issues related to offshore manufacturing to be a roadblock to this important work.”
The OLS and American Nitrile collaboration will officially begin on Monday, March 13th, as part of the grand opening of American Nitrile’s Grove City-based facility. The 530,000 square-foot facility is the largest of its kind in the US, housing 12 high-speed lines with capacity for 30 million gloves per line. American Nitrile will be capable of producing 3.6 billion gloves when fully scaled in 2024. The company’s new compression fit technology is on track to produce the best research glove in the world.
American Nitrile is also doing its part to help the environment with a state-of-the-art onsite wastewater treatment and recycling plant capable of recycling 150 million gallons of water annually and practices green manufacturing. It is also building resiliency in the US supply chain.
